A nudibranch, affectionately known as a “nudie”, was one of the first creatures I saw on my Padi Open Water Diver course. It was a pyjama nudie and got me hooked due to their beauty and weirdness. I loved that these little aliens could exist in this new world I'd began discovering, and was thirsty for more. I’ve been on many dives since, and nearly every time I’ve been able to spot different varieties of these delightful slugs.

Initially my photos were blurry and hard to make out, but after a lot of research and some trial and error, I’ve started to be able to capture more striking images that really show off these critters. I’m still learning, and trying to get a little bit better each time.
